GAYLE McCORMICK: IT'S A CRYING SHAME

Missourian Gayle McCormick was in The Klassmen. Then she went to California and joined The Smiths, who changed their name to Smith. Unfortunately, the men in the band stupidly insisted on continuing to sing after she joined, even though they had lousy voices, which became even more unbearable when alternated with her voice. She quit, released a few solo albums, ended up singing backup for Jimmy Rabbitt and the Renegades, then quit The Biz in 1976, and went back to Missouri.

"It's a crying shame. Baby, it's you. Rescue me. Save me...."

Yeah, she really needed help.
