Selena Gomez expressed sympathy for Gaza in an Instagram message posted Friday.

Selena Gomez is the latest celeb to speak her mind about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The 21-year-old star posted an image on Instagram Friday which stated, “It’s About Humanity. Pray for Gaza.”

“Please pray for those families and babies today,” Gomez wrote. “Please always remember what's important in life. It's not any of this. We are here to help, inspire and love. Be that change. #wearethenextgeneration.”

The “Pray for Humanity” post has received 525,000 likes to date, but that doesn’t mean all of the pop star’s fans agree with her.

“You're taking advantage of your position because you are famous,” one person wrote. “You don’t know what's going in Israel. “You support terror, I really loved you until this moment.”

"Do not come to Israel hate you here!!! You've lost a lot of fans stupid!" a fan told Gomez.

Others praised her for taking a stand on the issue.

"Proud of you Selena," wrote one fan.

“Never (paid) much attention to Selena before but since this I have gained so much respect for her! #PrayForGaza #PrayForPalestine,” another person said.

[TMZ: Selena Gomez is either directly or indirectly supporting Hamas in the Middle-East conflict ... Selena Gomez -- Pro-Humanity Or Pro Hamas In Gaza Conflict? We Don't Know ... Does She?]

On Saturday, Gomez responded to the controversy in another Instagram post, along with a photo of a person meditating on a beach.

“And of course to be clear, I am not picking any sides,” she wrote.“I am praying for peace and humanity for all!”

Gomez is just the latest celebrity to express sympathy for Palestinians, but unlike her fellow stars, has not yet retracted her message.

Rihanna tweeted “#FreePalestine” on Twitter Tuesday, only to delete it soon after. (A source told TMZ that the tweet was posted by mistake.) NBA star Dwight Howard tweeted the same hashtag from his account a few days prior, only to apologize and take down the message.

BRONX NEW YORKE: What a buffoon. She obviously doesn't even know what's really going on there. Just wants to chime in on some liberal angle for the violence and ignores the fact that Israel is being terrorized by Hamas from Gaza and that they are using civilians as shields for their terrorists and weapon storages. The civilians were given fair warning to leave before Israel attacked the weapons storage facilities with accurate missiles and bombs. Meanwhile, Hamas indiscriminately attacks Israel cities with unguided rockets with the sole purpose to kill as many as possible. Israel has the right to defend itself from this terror. We would do the same if a neighbor started launching rockets at our cities and Gomez would probably support that action if her city was attacked. Wouldn't she?

["The civilians were given fair warning to leave" : Like IRA bomb-warnings?]

KAY JAY: Fair notice to leave after Israel closed their borders making it impossible for them to leave? What exactly is fair about that? Until you have been to Gaza and seen for yourself first hand the terror that Israel inflicts upon the innocent people, then you have no right to speak against them. Has Hamas done wrong? Absolutely! How does that give Israel the right to murder innocent children? How does it give a Parliament member the right to say that all the women should be killed so that no more Palestinians can be born? If one or even two American citizens travel to Israel and while there murder someone, do you think that will give Israel the right to come to the United States and murder your children as they play? I pray you never experience the oppression these people are forced to endure.

PAPERCAT: I am not sure I understand your argument. Rockets were lobbed into Israel first by Hamas. Israel shouldn't defend itself? If unprovoked rockets were fired onto American soil, we should do nothing?

WHERE IS THIS PAPER LOCATED: When someone bumps into on the street (Hamas rockets) you take out a gun and execute them (Israel's response)? Do you people comprehend disproportionate responses?

JOE WENZEL: Oh please - making it impossible for them to leave. Those leaches aren't ever going to leave.

WHERE IS THIS PAPER LOCATED: More kool aid for hasbara bronx new yorker...

MARLON WEINGRAD: Cry me a river - So because Hamas terrorists are lousy shots, Isreal should just forget about the rocket attacks? A Hamas rocket is like being "bumped into on the street" ?!? Even a fool like you doesn't believe that garbage. Hamas are terrorists & the Palestinians elected a Terrorist group to run their govt. Isreal has every right to defend itself. Go try telling Hamas to turn the other cheek.

MARLON WEINGRAD: “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man.” [Quote from Kike Alyssa Rosenbaum / "Ayn Rand"]

STEWIE GRIFFIN: This coming from a Mexican. How about addressing the problems in your family's place of origin before trying to solve the Mideast crises. Jeez, these kids with no education all seem to have an opinion on things and because of social media it gets so much attention. It's embarrassing and comical. Could this dolt find Israel on a map? Could she find the U.S. on a map? [Of course this Kike wouls be praising her if she were pro-Kikestani.]
